We went for the weekend when the Padstow Christmas Markets were on. It was the perfect weekend. Padstow was in full swing, great fun. Bands, music on the quay and lots of fabulous chefs doing their bit plus great local crafts. We bought most of our Christmas presents here and everyone was delighted.
The house was perfect. When we arrived it was dark. It was easy to find and the parking was great. The house immediately sprang into light and welcomed us in . The house is imacculate and all the furnishing are very tastefully put together .
There is gallons of hot water and the underfloor heating is wonderful. The kitchen is really well equipped.
It blew real gales when we were there but we were totally snug and loved the drama of the weather from the warmth and cosines of the house.
Thank you Tygwella for the most terrific weekend.
Tygwella is a superb holiday house, brilliantly renovated and equipped to a very high standard. As a large group we found it a spacious, comfortable and stylish property to base ourselves. We have previously rented elsewhere in the region and feel that what sets this property apart from others is its location. Tygwella is the last building before the National Trust heathland that then leads down to Porthcothan beach. It means that you walk down to the beach, filled with anticipation for the surf to come, straight out of your gate. After the waves and a pasty, it's only five minutes back from the beach. Then, relaxing on the deck, it means views of the headland, beach, ocean and sunsets (oh boy, the sunsets) are uninterrupted by any other property. The combination of a fabulous property in a genuinely sensational location is hard to find. Look no further. Tygwella is it.
With the coastal path running past the house we had an action-packed week - walks to> Bedruthan Steps, all the 7 Bays, Trevose Head for the Lifeboat launch on
> Wednesday evening, a cycle to the vineyard along the Camel trail, Lanhydrock
> House and far too many cream teas (if there is such a thing). Tygwella
> was the perfect base for us all, a spacious, very social house, views to die for,
> super-comfy beds, and with the far reaching views, we could watch the weather
> come in and plan accordingly! So many wonderful villages and beaches to explore in this beautiful part of Cornwall, we will return for another dose of Tygwella Magic.
fantastic location- beach is an easy stroll away, as is the pub! This is a really comfortable house that can cater for a party of ten easily. The house has beautiful sea views from many of the rooms, the vista from the master suite is stunning! We enjoyed walking along the National Trust coastline walk, literally step out of the gate and you're on the path, and surfing and sunbathing on the beautiful beach. We have already recommended Tygwella to friends and family and will definitely visit again!
