Staying on a taster weekend at a local hotel, we enjoyed a very tasty meal at the Indian Cottage. Although it wasn't very busy the staff werevery attentive and provided a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Incredible yellow sauce came with the popadoms - could have eaten a bucket full. Had the chefs special rice - which was beautiful. Keep up the good work guys

We chose this after speaking to hotel staff and looking at trip advisor as we were choosing between this restaurant and JeeJaJee's (almost opposite).
After going into each restaurant for a menu and speaking to the staff I chose the Indian Cottage. Not only were the staff here more friendly but the prices for the same dishes were considerably better.
We opted for the chefs special starter for 2, a special main of chicken tikka pieces cooked in a spiced lamb mince sauce, sag aloo, pilau rice for both of us, peshwari naan for hubby and chapati for me. All washed down with a jug of water, a bottle of house white and bottled cider for hubby. The bill was just £50 so good value and the food was very good indeed - wells cooked, not too much spice that you couldn't taste the food and served nice and hot (temperature)...although there was a bit too much!
A good choice of restaurant and we will return if we stay in Kegworth again.

Ate here while staying up the road at a local hotel. The food was average but not that expensive . Two of us had two courses for £30 including drinks. The staff were very attentive and the service quick.we were the only people eating in but there were a lot of take always going out !

If you want posh, then go to Jee ja jees but be prepared to pay more and if your alone its nowhere near as comfortable and quiet as the indian cottage. Food is good quality, quick and always tasty. People here want your Bussiness and are very helpful and don't fuss you all the time unnessecerily! Keep it up guys..
