An easy walk along a magnificent gritstone edge. Splendid in August when the heather is in flower but can be popular at peak times.

Would you believe, this is where Nick Clegg thought he was coming for long country walks (it was actually Burbage valley - sweet)

Great place for a walk, surpassed only by Baslow and Curbar Edges. Views are food for the soul, even on a cloudy day and at any time of day. Wear decent footwear and be prepared to meet lots of people - though never too busy to spoil the view.

Stanage Edge never fails to please anyone who likes walking and enjoying spectacular places.
You can choose a long walk, short walk, climbing walk, lower walk...or even just sit and have a picnic on a beautiful day...preferably on the top of the ridge!
Wear some strong waterproof walking shoes and take an extra layer for the times it is windy up there.
Wonderful place with fabulous views.
