“Just what we needed....”
Reviewed April 29, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Such a well thought out, clean and cosy base for a weekend of exploration. Pat provides a very warm welcome and really has thought of everything you might need. The Spinners, the local pub, is only a few doors away and provides excellent food and makes everyone feel welcome including the dogs. Can recommend Longdendale and Crowden for some scenic walking.

“Picturesque Paradise”
Reviewed April 18, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The cottage is perfectly located just a few minutes walk from the beautiful peak districts, working as a wonderful base for any hiking adventure. The cottage itself is homely and very spacious with a well stocked kitchen and everything you could need to feel at home.
The garden is enormous, and as the owner mentioned a perfect place to stand and breathe in the nature around.
Couldn't recommend this highly enough.

“Great property, immaculately clean, well presented, everything you need”
Reviewed April 11, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Great communication with owner so arrival and departure were both very smooth. The house is perfect! We have two children aged 10 and 14 and 2 dogs a lab and a beagle. The garden was great and enclosed even for a beagle who enjoys the challenge of escaping. The house has everything you need for a lovely stay. It was immaculately clean and well presented, Pat had thought of everything we would ever need. Bedding was lovely and warm as was the house with constant heating if required. The open fire was a real treat. We didn't want for anything and had a brilliant stay. If you like walking this is a perfect base to explore.

Liked best: Clean, tidy and we didn't want for anything.
Liked least: Mattress quite soft but that's only because I like a hard mattress.

“Amazing - peaceful - comfy cottage”
Reviewed March 13, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We have just returned from a beautiful weekend at burnswark cottage. We wanted a peaceful walking weekend with our dog, which is exactly what we got !!
Perfect location for walking, only a stones throw away from varying trails suitable for all needs.
The cottage itself was comfy and homely, with the added touches from the owner made our weekend even more special.
The garden was a massive bonus as we sat outside in the sun with a glass of wine enjoying the gorgeous views and peace and quiet!
Burnswark had everything we needed and we can't wait to come visit again!
