“Great weekend”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Just spent the weekend in Castleton for a friends 50th. Stayed here with 10 friends. Everyone was very helpful and looked after us very well. The rooms were great. The food was lovely, and the wonderful Faye kept a watchful eye on us:) Definitely recommend staying here. Well worth a visit. Thank you all very much.

We spent the weekend in Hope and we're advised by the Landlord of The Woodroffe Arms to eat here on the Saturday night. What a great choice, the pub was busy but we managed to find a table for four. The choice of food was very good and the pub had a nice atmosphere. We ordered and although it took a while for it to be prepared due to the pub being busy, it was well worth the wait. They were generous portions, served nice and hot. The bar staff and waiter\waitresses were extremely helpful and friendly, even providing up with the bus times back to Hope.

Really loved this cosy inn, really lovely room with four poster bed and amazing bathroom.
Food was really traditional and hearty. The breakfast was delicious and set us up nicely for a lovely walk in the stunning countryside of hope valley.
Really looking forward to a return visit just before Christmas, I think it will be a festive treat for the eyes.

Lovely place to stay. Nice room, but next to the road. Nice staff. We enjoyed the typical english dish/meals and in the morning we had of course their great full english breakfast. All this in combination with the great outdoor scenery - landscape makes it a complete stay.
Car owners can park overnight on the parking lot of the Inn at the other side of the street. Walkers can start the day without starting the car.

We stayed here for 2 nights exploring this beautiful region of he Peak District. Everything lovely although some of staff could have been a little bit friendlier. We stayed in room 10 and although there was plenty of space the shower in need of some repair and was more of a trickle than a shower and the entrance to the room smelt damp but all in all a good weekend

Stayed for two nights in the four poster outside room. Well decorated cosy room, new bathroom suite, very comfy bed. Noise from traffic is very loud and starts early. Breakfast was okay, a little greasy for me. Would stay again but not in the bedroom overlooking the road.
