Interesting tour of the levels of the cavern. The guide was very knowledgeable as he also does actual mining of the cave when the tours finish for the season. There are a lot of steps to encounter. One party entering the caves as we were leaving had a dog with them and it was clearly worried as it kept barking. Why would you take a dog down there. I do wonder at the policy of taking a dog in the cave and it was not a guide dog.

Good footwear needed and due to large number of steps not suitable for less mobile.Access from car park is via a very steep path so care is needed

I visited both this and Treak Cliff cavern on a wet day. The guide was very informative, but for spectacular stalactites and Blue John outcrops you need to go to Treak Cliff.

Fabulous! Had a great time walking around this cave. James was our guide and he was both informative and funny. There are about 300 steps to descend (and climb back up)but there are breaks in between.

Well with a visit - some stunning rick formations in the cave,it was amazing

250 very wet steps, but taken slowly with stops on the way down for information (some stops on the way up would have been useful). A little expensive at £14 but generally worth the effort and cost to see the rock formations and the gem in the rocks. lovely location
