Absolutely fantastic experience and a highlight of my stay in the Peak District!!! Our guide, Chris, was possibly one of the best tour guides I have ever encountered. So funny and informative, my family and I were utterly engrossed in learning the history of the cavern and taking in the sights of such an ancient place.
I even got the chance to make a length of rope as part of a demonstration showing off the techniques of the old ropemakers who would call the location home.
10/10 - would recommend, and will likely be returning again in the future!
What an amazing experience!!! Chris, our tour guide, was amazing!! We went with my brother yesterday and we had so much fun!!! The tour was around 1 hour and we didn't want it to end !! Amazing experience, great for children as well!! Can't recommend it enough!!! 😁😁😁
By far the most enjoyable tours I have ever had! We learned so much. The sights were great and the information interesting, but I have to give special mention to Chris our tour guide who absolutely made it the tour it was! I can honestly say the most entertaining guide ever.
Well worth a visit, took my wife, son and 80yr old mother in law who perished the thought but really enjoyed the challenge, well done her.
You need a guide for the history and what is it I'm looking at and Chris had lots of it in a cheerful witty manner. Thank you.
After arriving at the entrance without tickets I purchased them whilst waiting on the next tour to start. That saved a couple of pounds!
I questioned the need for a guide but when he, Chris, turned up I was so pleased. He was extremely knowledgable, engaging and funny. He made us feel welcome, had my wife help make the rope, that to her delight, got to keep, and made the visit well worth the money informing us of all the facts, the history around the cave and had an answer to all our questions. Thank you
