This delightful village pub makes the most of its 17th century roots, to create a delightful atmosphere.
Add to that atmosphere an excellent range of real ales and very good pub grub and you are gauranteed a good evening out. During the 4 days we were staying in Castleton, we regularly observed this place to be busy, when other were less so.
My partner and I had 'Innkeeper's Plate Pie' & 'Leek, potato and blue chees crumble.' Both were very filling, hot and well cooked.
