Visited at the bank holiday, the pub was busy and everyone was enjoying the sunshine. We stopped at the end of a long walk and enjoyed a couple of beers and decided to come back for tea. We both had pies, the crust was a lovely short crust pastry but unfortunately due to it being reheated in the microwave it lost its crumbliness and was a little bit soft, but the fillings made up for it the meat and gravy in our pies were delicious! 10/10. The atmosphere in the pub was quite quiet but a lot of customers were outside or not yet eating as we ate at about 5:30 and it was getting busier as we left.
Would definitely return, it has a nice country feel, dogs are welcome in the bar area, the toilets are clean and the staff were friendly. The view outside is quite nice too.
