“Perfect Peak District cottage”
Reviewed July 18, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

This lovely cottage was wonderful for our stay in Castleton. The character of the home was very quaint and made us feel right at home. All of the amenities the owner provided (eggs, milk, tea, coffee, etc.) were very much appreciated. The beds were all very comfortable and having 2 bathrooms helped with our group of six people. It is in a perfect location for Peak walks or just a stroll around lovely Castleton. Highly recommended!

“Brilliant place to stay”
Reviewed May 1, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Dale Cottage is a lovely clean, comfortable place to stay, in a great location at the base of Cave Dale. We were pleasantly surprised by the wide range of provisions that were provided by the owner; which got our holiday off to a good start.
The beds were very comfortable, comprising a double, a king and two singles we asked to be made up into a super king. We would not hesitate to rent this property again. Lisa is very friendly and helpful.
In addition, there are at least 5 good pubs within a few minutes walk, all serving a good selection of real ales and great food. What more could you ask for!

“Great Castleton Cottage”
Reviewed April 22, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Excellent location, close to local amenities, and a great cottage that is well equipped and very comfortable. Peveril Stores are worth the short walk for freshly baked bread in the mornings, as well as lots of other freshly made goodies. The sweet shop across and further down the road is well worth the visit for the brilliant fudge made on the premises. Loads to do in the area - plenty of options for hikes right out of the front door - turn left up Cave Dale and you can hike a circular route taking in Mam Tor and the ridgline before descending back to the village - approx 10km - fantastic views and the chance of watching people paragliding fro the top of Mam Tor. Then there is Peveril Castle, the Blue John caves close by as well as Bakewell, Buxton and Chatsworth which are all a short car drive away. Lisa, the owner, was fantastic, really helpful and everything was taken care of. Would recommend anyone to stay at this gem of a cottage.

“Castleton Cottage Cracker!!”
Reviewed April 22, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We stayed at Dale Cottage for a week over Easter. Lisa, the owner, was there when we arrived & was really helpful. The Cottage is in a great location in the village, close to the pubs, restaurants & shops; all a couple of minutes walk from the front door. The cottage was very comfortable & had everything you could want.

“Central location, well equipped cottage”
Reviewed March 13, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Great cottage in a very central location with easy access to local pubs and shops. Stunning walks from the front door and lovely views of Mam Tor from windows.
The cottage was very well equipped with lots of extras available to use including food items/condiments that we all forget to bring with us. Washing machine & drier useful additions. The cottage was very clean, warm and cosy given wet weather on our arrival. Staircase steep and short, could be awkward with kids/elderly.

Had a lovely stay and communication with owner Lisa was very good.

Excellent accommodation close to pubs and restaurants. We were met by Lisa who helped in planning our weekend. Plenty of walks and things to do locally. Cottage had everything you need with lots of little extra's.
