This was our third visit to the Hilton prior to flying out to Gran Canaria & I have to say we were most impressed with this last visit. We booked a room & parking package as before as we don't like doing a last minute rush to catch a flight - especially an early morning one!
Having criticised this establishment last year for the lack of a smoking bedroom after requesting one last year through an agent, I was in for unexpected shock. Not having been offered one with a change of agent, at the reception I asked for a room nearest the main door so that my partner & I could pop outside as & when the need arose for a smoke. The very obliging young male receptionist did no more than to check if there were any smoking rooms & asked us if we would like to change from our allocated non-smoking room to a smoking one. Needless to say we jumped at the chance!
In the past we have not dined at the Hilton, opting to go down to the Otter public house/ restaurant in nearby Kegworth, which is a nice charming place with good honest food. However we were offered an all you can eat hot buffet comprising of starters, main courses & desserts & there was plenty of choice. The food was hot, very tasty & as much as you wanted - all for £15 a head. This being a Sunday night stay,I don't know how often the Hilton do this, but it was definitely good value for money. My compliments to the staff for the excellent service to ensure a good stay this time.

We stayed at the Hilton as part of a park and stay 4 star mystery hotel package. We were very impressed with the comfort of the hotel, the excellent friendly helpful staff ( the transfer bus drivers were first class ! ), and the leisure club. The price was very reasonable, and we would most certainly stay here again.

We stayed recently on a park and stay deal before a flight out of East Midlands early the next day. I could not fault a single aspect of the stay. The swimming pool and spa are first rate, the food was superb, the hotel is well located, very clean and spacious and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The park and stay aspect is extremely well run, with a cold breakfast and coffee in the bar while you check out and wait for the transfer to the airport. Our flight was changed on the way home and there was no issue with the Hilton. We simply called the number given and the transfer arrived 5 minutes later and dropped us off at the car. I would definitely stay here again before a flight; it was a relaxing stress free start to the holiday.

My partner and I stayed in this hotel when we were having a weekend trip to Alton Towers. It was cheaper than the resort hotel at the theme park, and we got a double room for a good price as it's an airport hotel.
Having breakfast included was a real plus, and the selection was great and all very tasty, it was nice to have a good meal before setting out.
The shower and bathroom were lovely. Only complaint being that the toilet chain had to be "pumped" before it would flush which was a little irritating. Everything else room wise was perfect, comfy bed, good facilities and very clean. My only other gripe was that we were placed in a room on the ground floor, which was a bit irritating as we had to keep the curtains closed for the entire trip as the window looked out straight onto the car park, but I'm pretty sure if we had asked to change rooms there wouldn't have been an issue, it's just I didn't want to make a fuss over something that really wasn't going to affect us as we would be out of the room all day.
As this hotel was on the motorway, I would've expected parking to be complimentary, but it kin d of comes with the Hilton territory that you will be overcharged for everything.
It was lovely to have free use of the gym and pool. My partner and I went for a swim both nights we were there, they also have a lovely hot tub, steam room and sauna for guests to use, I felt like we were really staying in luxury conditions.
the staff were very friendly and helpful and despite their surprise at how young my partner and I are initially when checking in they were very smiley and helpful overall.
In summary, a very nice hotel, lovely facilities, a few minor gripes about the room and prices but if you were to have the same issue I'm fairly sure the staff would have no problems moving you to a more suitable room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor if you don't want to have to keep the curtains shut during your entire stay.

No difficulty in finding hotel. Separate park and stay car park on left.Check in very efficiently handled and bus pick up arranged for the morning ( they run on the hour ). Had only just got into our room when the receptionist rang to make sure the room was ok, which it was.
Bar food was quite good but drinks exhorbitant. £5.80 for a small glass of wine. The restaurant was charging £20.50 for 2 courses but most people seemed to be eating in the bar.
Bus left on time in the morning and, on the way back the polite driver took us right to our car. Impressive.
