Purchased a GroupOn voucher for a meal for two at the Ladybower Inn. Well organised, no problems at all using the voucher which reduced costs by 50%, although the meals were in any case quite reasonably priced. Portions generous, plenty of choice ranging from old favourites such as gammon to more unusual options such as guinea fowl. Staff friendly and helpful, even giving us a recipe for a sweet potato pickle, served as a 'side' with one of the main courses. Location good, rural setting, but within 1/2 hours drive of Sheffield.

This is a very historic pub and has been preserved perfectly in this age of modernisation. It's charming and homely, helped by the very welcoming staff. We ate here first in January and the food was excellent. It was a snowy night so there were very few people in, we were sat in front of the fire and it could have been someone's front room as it was so cosy. The choice on the menu was good, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We went back again last week, the weather was better and it was much busier but still a great meal. It was a completely different menu so it obviously changes regularly, probably with what's in season locally, but again we were both pleased with our choices and left the pub feeling we must go back again soon.

We came here on a kgb deal and it was fab from start to finish. Delicious food, great beer, and friendly helpful staff especially " Seth" ( Chris). Can't fault it in any way and we will be back soon!

Never stayed here, nor eaten here, but it really is a great pub, whether on a quiet day or when it's rammed with ramblers. A good choice of well kept real ales are always on tap. Always worth a visit.

I love this pub! There's seating outside for when the suns shining albeit next to the A57, but you can still enjoy the views out to Ladybower and surroundings.

As well as the regular offerings the kitchen also puts together some more interesting dishes using fresh local produce in season.

It can get busy so be prepared for a wait or an alternative venue if necessary.

Beer is also well kept here.
