Went late on in afternoon. The pub is in the middle of a little village with great views and surroundings. The staff were friendly and the place was welcoming. Menu is reduced after 5pm to the "specials board" selection still a good selection though. However, when the mains arrived food was average with frozen chips and the steak dish was a little more than you would expect from a Wetherspoons with a distinct lack of sauces available. The pork steak with mushrooms and Stilton was nice, but desserts were standard, like they were supermarket bought and warmed through. My OH had the treacle sponge and I had the morello cherry flan (I had ordered the lemon sponge but they'd made a mistake) we had 2 drinks and 3 courses each it came to just over £50.
All in all, a very nice place to stop for a drink, but food wasn't up to much.
