“Great little cafe”
Reviewed November 26, 2012 via mobile

Driving back to London after a weekend in the Peak District we stopped at Ashbourne for lunch. Came across this sweet looking cafe and ordered jacket potatoes with home made chilli. This was extremly tasty, potato had a good crisp skin, and it came with a really fresh salad. Excellent value at £5.95 and very filling. I had an excellent cappuchino and OH had house coffee, also excellent. There was plenty of other choices on the menu including lots of breakfasts which looked like they were served all day. Newspapers to read and quaint surroundings, good quality food and great value for money. Try it if you are in the vicinity.

“Friendly, independant cafe”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

Great cafe, fabulous all day breakfasts and specials. Bit small when it is full, so be prepared to share if you are here at peak times. Pop in for lunch or a cup of tea and a cake. Free wifi and newspapers. Toilets are on the ground floor (down steep steps) and no baby change/disabled toilet so go elsewhere if you need these facilities.

“A very friendly place to visit”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

Stayed in Ashbourne overnight in November 2012. we visited the Saturday market and looked for somewhere to get breakfast. The flower cafe was situated at the corner of the market and so we called in, the breakfast was lovely and the service friendly. it does tend to get a little crowded but that it is because it is popular. If you find yourself in Ashbourne and feeling peckish check out their cakes, soup and snacks you will not be disappointed.

“GO THERE!!”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Went with my husband for lunch on a Saturday. We both had delicious beef casserole, which was excellent and great value! We could see the cooking happening if we wanted, and the cafe was pleasantly full and very cosy. We had a nice, generous slice of forest fruit oatie crumble too-tasty and big enough to share. All the staff worked hard and deserved the custom. TRY IT!!

“Will go back.”
Reviewed October 10, 2012 via mobile

Went to find a bacon n egg sandwich on a Sunday morning. Only place open and was busy. Apprehensive when went in as never beenbyt? Was pleasantly surprised. Choice of food was great. They had basic to posh options and prices were a little expensive but when food was delivered I wasn't bothered about the slightly higher costs as the quality was superb and will be returning when I need a lovely breakfast or other snack.
This will be my first choice atop to sit in and enjoy nice food and pleasant atmosphere.
