Visited this place recently on a Sunday evening for a family meal and had a satisfying dinner.
Identified this restaurant and another Thai one before our visit to Ashbourne and decided to give this one a try. After a long day visiting places and travelling, we all wanted to have a causal sit down dinner and this place certainly didn't disappoint us.
Having already identified its location in the market place of Ashbourne it was a gentle walk through the little town from our B&B. Was amazed to notice how quiet Ashbourne was except for few gatherings and talks near couple of pubs along the way. The entrance of this restaurant was very busy when we visited and soon realised it was for the take away. We were seated at a ‘window seat’ and that was perfect. As we’re new to Ashbournse this gave us the opportunity to have a glimpse of this part of the town with the evening light from outside mixing with the lights from the restaurant. Watching people walk around and the pubs opposite it was a nice experience.
Service was very good. Attentive. Starters and drinks arrived quickly. Main course was also served at the right time without having to wait too long. The dish we ordered later also made to the table in quick time.
The food was also good if not of top quality. The portions were average and for the price it looked ok. However, the egg fried rice we ordered wasn't that good. It didn't have that taste or the aroma. If you require to adjust the spice level of the dish then worth mentioning while placing the order.
Overall satisfied with this restaurant. Good food and quick service at an affordable price.
