I ordered the set menu (2 course). The food was very very good, so too was the wine.
The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Didn't feel rushed.
Small, cosy and perfect restaurant.
Will definately being going again.

We've visited the Lighthouse for the last 5 years, for various birthdays/anniversaries and never been disappointed by the quality of the food, or the standard of service. Everything is well presented, well cooked and arrives promptly. The Staff are attentive and not overbearing. The only criticism i have is the menu doesn't change very often. We went three time in one year and the menu was almost identical, each time.

We were a family party of 4 who had never eaten here before. We phoned to say two of our members had different food allergies which they were pleased to accomodate.

We arrived on a cold February night, was given a warm welcome and shown to a delightfully laid table looking out on Victoria Square. The chairs where very comfortable and menu scrumptous the only problem was what to choose.

We decided to have a starter and main but by the time we had eaten that we couldn't resist having a pudding which was superb.
The decor was reserved and subdued and in keeping with the age of the building. The lighting was low enough to give it right atmosphere but one can still see what you're were eating.

This restaurant is a must for everyone.

We were a party of four and ate there on a cold Saturday evening in February - the restaurant was lovely and warm, we had a great table and the food was fantastic. And the price? - altogether very reasonable. This was our first visit but we intend to return regularly. Thank you to everyone who made this such a good evening.

Whenever you visit you will never be disappointed. Either the set menu or the a la carte will always find a worthy selection. The Morrocan Lamb was a particularly tasty treat as we watched the snow come down thick and fast. For a tasty meal, in a nice setting that will not break the bank you will struggle to eclipse in Ashbourne. We will be back and will recommend to all that ask.
