An amazing price for bed breakfast and a three course dinner. Clean and basic. Lovely staff, our party more or less filled the hotel, we all agreed it was really good. The food was good, very tasty, portion sizes great for me.

Spent 2 nights at this hotel as part of a group trip. Staff could not do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable and so friendly with it. The rooms were clean and quiet with a towels changed daily. The shower water was beautifully hot! Although there were quite a few of us, meals were serviced quickly and efficiently.

I arrived did a weekend stay. There were a few of us arriving together. Other groups meet us as we were attending a Ukulele meetup here. The hotel is a three Star and yes maybe a little chintzy but hey there's nothing wrong with that! The staff were amazing and were very busy but they were efficient and pleasant throughout my stay. The facilities were perfectly acceptable for the standard of accommodation I paid for which I thought was extremely good value for money. The location opposite the railway station was a big plus for me personally. I'm not a car driver and had quite a bit of equipment with me. The hotel accommodated us really well as there were a lot of us who had traveled for a ukulele jamboree. The hotel gave us exclusive use of the main function room.
The food was good quality enjoyed the cooked breakfast which was offered individually as well as cereals and various juices and toast and tea.

If I was in the area I'd definitely visit again or recommend this nice family run place without thinking twice. Friendly.

Cant praise this hotel enough, cosy, welcoming, fabulous home cooked food, ideally placed 2 minutes from Railway station, big function room, separate lounge and self contained dining room which seated over 60 people , 28 clean warm rooms, lift to rooms if needed , 2 bars with good range of drinks, Hoteliers very welcoming and obliging and the staff were amazing, couldnt do enough for us

Room tip: All rooms are cosy and warm and in the hotel itself , lift to them if needed
