Stayed in limestone lodges what a relaxing weekend. Paul and diane were excellent hosts and made my husband's 50th birthday even more special. Can't wait to visit again . Will recommend this place to everyone.

Just got back from a fantastic weekend away at the Limestone lodges, we stayed in the Rusko lodge and could not fault it, this lodge had everything you needed for a perfect weekend away, hot tub was fantastic and the extra bonus of the spa pass was just amazing, you recommend this place any day. The owners of the Lodge and very friendly and particularly loved the visit from Hugo (owners boxer dog) each morning. We will be returning soon!!!!!!

We have just arrived home after a week's stay in the smallest of the three Lodges, Limekiln.
We arrived at about 5pm on the Saturday to be greeted by the owners. Unfortunately there was an issue with the electrics in our lodge so they took us into one of the other Lodges to wait whist the electrician finished. We were provided with code and some lovely cakes - just what we need after our long drive! They were very apologetic but their service was great. We waited in the largest lodge which was very open planned and modern, would be great for a large group. When we got into our lodge we loved it. Very traditional and decor and fantastic views from the decking. There was a double, single, and a twin room. The bedrooms were small but big enough. The bathroom was also compact but great quality, fine for the two of us! The kitchen was well kitted out! Plenty of pans and all the equipment you would need!
We used the hot tub 6 out of the 7 nights. It has great views over the countryside and up to Scotland - is the only of the three Lodges which hot tub has this view and it was stunning.
The location was great, about a ten minute drive to Cockermouth where we did our food shopping. About half an hour from keswick and derwent. We went to windermere too which was about an hour away. Also good location if you fancied a day in Scotland dumfries and Gretna aren't too far away.
We loved our stay and will definitely be returning.

had an excellent stay at limestone lodges. we stayed in the Limekiln lodge which was felt nice and cosy. all lodges had a veranda with an amazing view across the fields. We were lucky to have the same view from our hot tub. Hot tub was quite private. Owners were very friendly and on hand if we had any issues (which we didnt). The spa was an added bonus and well worth a visit. A great stay and would happily come back. If modern open-plan is more your thing the lodge for you is Torduff, which is now also equipped with a hot tub.

Room Tip: out of Rusko and Limekiln i would say Tordudd is more spacious with an en suite.
