Was here tonight for a meal to celebrate my mam's birthday. Booked the table for 7pm, arrived 5 minutes early as you do. Waited 10 minutes to get served at the bar as only one person behind the bar. Got served and shown to our table and then we waited and we waited and we waited to have out order taken, I eventually went to the bar 35 minutes later to ask if they would come to take our order. We eventually got our starter at 7.50pm. The starter was also a disappointment as the garlic mushrooms doesn't come with toast or anything and neither does the pâté! You do get roll's on the table but we were that Hungary we had demolished them well before we got the starter but I was surprised the pâté didn't come with toast, we did mention this and they brought some. Overall you do get value for your money but as the heading states order your table earlier than you wish to eat otherwise you will be eating the table leg.

This place holds no bars when it comes to Sunday Lunch.

It is recommended you book in advance as it does get very very busy.

The staff are very keen to help and serve food very promptly.

The meats are tender and you get far too much on your plate, all your meal is brought on a silver platter and you really do get the whole Sunday works and then some,it does not matter what meat you order it falls apart from the fork and is cooked to perfection-the guys or gals doing the cooking here know a thing or two about traditional Sunday Roasts!

Went here with a large family group and the desserts are also very very 'moreish'

I will be back again and again,it's a great afternoon out too when the weather is nice with the nice lawns outside to sit out in and catch some sun.

Fab.

15 pounds for 3 course Sunday lunch. Our second visit. Large dining room, full of diners.Choice of about 5 starters. Mains are large with huge quantity of meat and vegetables, choice of about 12 sweets from trolley. You will not go away hungry. Service is good. Would highly recommend.

This is a truly hidden gem when it comes to good old fashioned cooking - you will come away totally stuffed and contented whether with a doggie bag or not - truly a well deserved eating experience not to be missed
