“Great food, real value for money”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

We ended up in Ulverston at lunch time and after strolling around decided to eat at The Mill because it looked nice from the outside, and it was advertising serving Sunday roasts and a great selection of beers.

We were not disappointed, the bar staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. We ordered two roast beef lunches which were not only great value for money, but delicious and incredibly filling too. I was also delighted that I found somwhere in Cumbria that was serving Belgian fruit beer.

We would defintinely recommend this pub to others.

“Good beer and nice pizza”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Visited with our tired Labrador and she was allowed in the bar area.
Nice beer and we decided to stay simple. The veggie pasta was good and the "duck" pizza was good.
I am told the other items on the menu are good as well.
Worth a visit

“good standard”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

This pub has a nice atmosphere although we were unable to go upstairs into the Terrace restaurant due to a private party. The food was good, I can definitely recommend the Mussels but having opted for the pasta main I was disappointed as it was relatively tasteless and would have only challenged a Dolmio stir in sauce. The Trio of chocolate desserts made up for this at the end of the meal. All in all a good meal and I would go back.

“Waterwheel restaurant”
Reviewed August 15, 2012 via mobile

Went in to view the water wheel, ended up staying the night. It was a lovely day and we'd spent most of it in Ulverston. Ventured into the Mill to see the water wheel that is reputed to be some 300 years old. Once we were there we came across the terrace outdoor area, then a bottle of wine and finally their restaurant. The food was splendid, similar in many ways to Tweedies in Grasmere. So many lovely restaurants in Cumbria.
