Having visited the lakes many times I had never stayed in ulverston before. The property was well presented and a real home from home. The fire place was fantastic on those cold Cumbrian nights. It was spacious and suited us perfectly an ideal base for wandering down the high street which was only 2 minutes away. The house was well equipped a massive bonus for us as my other half was keen to do some cooking with some local produce we picked up. The owners were friendly and happy to answer any of our questions prior to our trip and I would thoroughly recommend. I will deffinitely be staying again.
It was our first time in Ulverston, a town I found rather charming, which was matched with an equally charming house.
The house was tidy, well equipped and really felt like home. It was a 2 min walk to the town and the bottom of head hill. I highly recommend the walk up hoad hill, afterwards you can put your feet up by the fire!

This cottage is more spacious than it appears from the outside. We have spent a very pleasant week here. The little extras left made us feel welcome and were much appreciated. The cottage interior is well appointed and homely. The small back garden overlooks a large field with hens and geese. Lovely view of Hoad Lighthouse. Parking can be a problem but ok if you don't mind a short walk! A good base for many activities.
