A comfortable clean room and bathroom. Comfy bed and very homely. Great range of well kept Ale. I enjoyed the Settle Brewery Main Line during my 3 night stay. The food fantastic, especially the steaks. Ideal for business. Popular with locals so a good atmosphere. Staff were very obliging, even letting us set up office in the bar one morning due to an IT crisis of our making. Cannot say more than go and try the Dalesman yourself. Spot on.

Friendly and sincere staff, and excellent food.
A delicious steak sandwich with fresh salad and vegetable crisps cost just £5.95, and was even served on slate - nice touch - while the coffee came with a generously sized raisin dunking biscuit.

Good atmosphere and decor too.

It seems a bit corporate/chain-y at first glance, but it's actually a nice place with some genuine warmth. Friendly staff and good real ale complement the pleasant bar and eating area. Not a bad choice for lunch or dinner.

The food was fantastic, we'll worth a visit for the brisket. Parking seemed to be an issue but I don't know the area, maybe there was a car park across the road I didn't see.

A very quiet New Years' Eve lunchtime. Classical music in the background is a rarity these days - but very welcome. Good menu of pub staples as well as a specials board. We had actually come to Sedburgh for fish and chips, but the chippy was closed so opted for the Dalesman instead. Under £7 for well cooked (unspecified) fish and chips with peas. Under £20 for two with a drink each. Niceplace. We will come back specifically for the pub next time.
