you could not find a better B and B in the UK, oustanding in every way, clean, friendly, good breakfasts, and a superb location - everything about the Bay Horse is outstanding. Very friendly hosts and a breakfast to keep you going til at least 5 o'clock. we will be back!

Room Tip: only three to choose from, all are good

Stayed at the Bay Horse for 4 nights over an extremely (3 days out of 4) August Bank holiday weekend but the B&B was an absolute delight. The welcome was friendly and imparted all the necessary info about the area. The breakfast with its fruit salad and aga cooked free range locally sourced eggs was a great start for the day. The decor has been lovingly restored and is an inventive mixture of old and new. The shower was powerful and the bed comfy.

Ravenglass itself is in the Lake District National Park and provides a great base to explore the little known and little used north west coast.

I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at the Bay Horse.

Received a friendly reception. WOW, what a lovely lovely place, so impressed. Excellent decor, modern mixed with antique. Ambience,so peaceful, calming and quiet. The attention to detail with little chocolates on the bed, cookies with the tea/coffee making facilities, bottled drinking water, bowl of fresh fruit as well as a bottle opener and wine glasses and a live plant. Add to the fact there is a pen and paper with a menu by which to pre-order breakfast so it can be made to order at your chosen time. Wonderfully comfortable memory foam mattress bed and a nice roomy shower all really clean and relaxing surroundings.
In very close proximity to the river estuary.Overall a wonderful experience. Can't fault The Bay Horse B&B and look forward to many more visits..

Room Tip: Only 2doubles and 1 single so get in there quick if you want a romantic get away from the hustle and...

We were on the same cycle ride as the Binks and totally concur with all their comments. A very warm welcome awaits you at the Bayhorse and a vey fine breakfast will see you on your way. Your hosts could not be more accomodating, storing bikes and advising on local places to eat etc. The room was lovely and well appointed with fresh fruit available as well as the usual tea and coffee making facilities. We too bought some of Elaine's home made jam after sampling it at breakfast. A fabulous place to stay.

We have just returned from a 3-day Ravenglass to South Shields bike ride for charity - Hadrian's Way. The Bay Horse was a fabulous place to spend the night before starting - very comfortable, welcoming and lots of little luxurious touches such as Thornton's chocolates on the pillow, and very good quality toiletries. The breakfast was excellent too - all locally sourced, and with fabulous home-made jams. Treat yourself before spending all those hours in the saddle...
