“Best pub food ever.”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

All homemade food on menu and extremely tasty. Went on Sunday 10 November 2013 and all three of us had different meals. The liver and onions was the best I have ever tasted and great value for money. Dog friendly too. Brilliant

Reviewed October 30, 2013

Went on Monday 28th to celebrate a birthday, we all had steaks mine came not cooked as I would like but this was sorted a new meal came out which I did not expect and to make things even better we weren't charge for my meal. Would definitely go back as we try to when we are in the area.

“Much improved”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Wow what an improvement since last time I ate here. The atmosphere was lovely, bar staff friendly and food great. We had a jacket with tuna & side salad - huge helping and a BLT both meals were great value for money. We will be back. Excellent views. Toilets are dated and had mould around the base.

“Sunday Lunch”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

What a nice little spot The Ship is. On a nice day - you can even sit out at one of the many picnic tables at the front of the car park over looking the estuary.

We waited only about 15mins for lunch - which with a child was excellent news !

We didn't have Sunday Lunch - but it looked fabulous - choice of 4 meats - Pork Loin, Roast Beef, Chicken Breast and Lamb Cutlets. @ about £8.50 I think it was.

We chose a jacket potato with tuna - which was massive and tasty and just £4, and a tuna baguette again about £4 huge and with side salad and crisps and I had a piggy home made steak and kidney pudding with mash and veg which was awesome £9.50.

The service was excellent, the waitress very helpful and chatty and the bar team aka "Terry and June" - lol were really great.

Would highly recommend a visit here.
Just turn down the hill at the cross traffic lights in Milnthorpe and head for the sea.
You wont be disappointed with this gem.

A good Traditional pub, with traditional fair at great prices.

ps saw the home-made pate starter and that looked good enough for a main course !!!
The chef should be congratulated.
We will be back !
