Just got back yesterday - we picked here after my mate found it as one of the top 10 camp sites in the UK.
Well for the view I cannot disagree - totally fantastic - however the view comes in after the HORRENDOUS drive to the site - ok its a farm on the side of a hill (hence the name perchance?) the road is simply an accident waiting to happen, it might be your car that grounds out, or a child running into you, or a scrape due to the fact you have reserve back 200yards should a car come t'other way.
Let me not underestimate the access road - it's a disgrace plain and simple and would suggest the farm reinvests some of the cash it's coining in into their infrastructure.
From the name there aren't too many flat pitches so get there early - in fact get there early for any pitch as it was "bobs full house" when we went.
I am a bit confused by the previous review on the shower facilities - if breeze block walls, wood panel shower doors, a concrete floor and hundreds of cob webs are "your thang" then you will love this place.
Also I got bitten to absolute buggery as they were everwhere! A tip I picked up after is Avons skin so soft - deters them.
Got told off twice on the first night for talking - hairy muff I suppose however it was only 10-30.
In short great views but if intend to tour from this site - your car will be totally battered after a few days.
Won't be going back
