Wow! What an amazing guest house New House Farm is. Hazel is THE hostess with the mostess!!! She cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay memorable.
We stayed in the Stable room which is just adjacent to the main house. The four poster bed was so soft and comfortable and the bathroom with the jacuzzi bath was a dream - Huge and made for two...
We did have trouble with the sat nav so take no notice and get yourself a paper map!
We felt like we had been there before and we knew Hazel of old because thats how she makes you feel, like old friends.
Her home-made scones are to die for, with a pot of tea by the roaring coal fire in the sitting room was just perfect!
The little doggies were so friendly, especially at breakfast...
I really hope to go back soon. The setting is amazing and the Honister Pass B5289 is a fantastic road to take you through down to Buttermere and up to the slate mine. The road is places is 25% gradient so 1st gear is a good one to be in!
Hazel, thank you so much

My wife and I held our wedding reception at New House Farm. We could not have wished for a more beautiful and high quality setting, made all the better by the friendly and helpful staff.

The accommodation is very comfortable and the rooms are gorgeous, all within a peaceful and attractive setting.

We have just returned from a short break at New House Farm. The accommodation was first class and of a very high standard. The room we were allocated had the loveliest views of the l
Lakeland fells and beautifully furnished, in fact the whole place is full of the most gorgeous antiques. There's a wonderful wood burner in all the reception rooms so you're never cold.
Hazel the owner is very welcoming and friendly, and works extremely hard to make your stay perfect. Can't praise this wonderful place enough!

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely with great views.

Just arrived back from the most amazing weekend stay at new house farm, lorton our daughter bought this for us as a gift on a groupon voucher and sometimes you think the glass will only be half full.......how wrong we were....hazel the owner could not have been any more perfect and the setting and room were just perfect.......my husband has his own business and works 24/7 and at a speed second to none.....but the minute we arrived he relaxed, what with the fantastic walks that Hazel suggested to the most beautiful room with the bath to suit to people was just amazing...we didn't have anything to eat as we walked into the Local pub ( The Wheatchief ) which was just as good....we are definitely going to return and hoping to go back in June if she has a room available, if I could say more I would what a gem this find was.......

Room Tip: We stayed in the stable room which was quiet and private

A fantastic few days, it could not get any better. From the beautiful room with a four poster comfy bed, lakes guide in the drawer, fruit in the room on arrival, fantastic bath, shortbread provided in your room on the second day to amazing cream tea on arrival, gorgeous scenery, cute and friendly dogs, fantastic location and not forgetting the person that makes new house farm as special as it is-Hazel. Hazel is so lovely and can not do enough for the guests, friendly, always happy to give advice of the local area. All in all a fantastic place, we will certainly be back again for the picturesque, surroundings, hot tub and lovely experience. Louise and Phill x
