We visited the Wheatsheaf Inn with family for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The sign on the door was not clear that they were serving lunches, but we were welcomed in by the barman. Our two small children were also welcomed.
There was a good menu with traditional pub favourites and light lunches.
The food was all freshly cooked and the portions were generous. The chips were homemade and delicious. I had a baguette with cumberland sausage which I could recommend. There was also a good children's menu.
They stock a good range of traditional real ales.
Overall the service was very welcoming and the food was very good value for money, will be visiting again!
