Found this tucked away down near the Priory; the brewery is in a little courtyard along with a fromagerie (or cheese shop) a wine and sprits show and a restaurant (I think)

Being a bit parched after visiting the Priory the prospect of a beer was appealing especially as there were tables and chairs outside to sit at. I always forget that I enjoy a good glass of beer and the fact that it was local didn't hurt. One glass of Cartmel thoroughbred later I needed food in the form of the cheeseboard (pick your own) and had the nicest bit of ewes cheese and a Lancashire I've had in a while. The shop will doggybag any remains for you to take away.

It was just so lovely, sun, good beer and cheese and laid back chat roundabout, it was so relaxing.

Just for reference, there is a disabled access loo but you'll need to be reasonably able to manage yourself.

Lovely little micro brewery hidden away in Cartmel. Nice tap room and shop where you can sample and buy great locally brewed beers. The manager owner? Was very helpful and pleasant.
Situated in a courtyard with other artisan shops, well worth a visit is you are in the area.

Unsworth's Yard is in a picturesque setting in the beautiful village of Cartmel. David and Peter provided a fascinating history of the yard and how the ales are made and wines are sourced. The choices of wine and ales was very extensive and we tried delicious wines we’d never even heard of. The tour is excellent value at £20 pp and included a glass of prosecco on arrival, then either a glass of wine or 3 half pints of ale plus two further large glasses of wine (one red and one white) AND a very generous cheese board, with unusual and scrumptious cheeses and breads. We were in the ‘snug’ which is a delightfully cosy room perfect for a group of friends. I’d highly recommend doing this tour. You can add on as much wine or beer as you like if you want to try more! Lovely shop too if you want to purchase cheeses, wines or ales to take home.

Lovely little brewery set in a small paved square where you can enjoy the excellent beer either on its own, with cheese from the adjacent shop or a pizza. For the non beer drinkers, there is also a wine/ spirits bar as well, so all tastes are catered for.
Lovely spot in the sun.
