I popped in here last year (2013) and forgot to do a write up.
It's a good little brewery, the guy who runs it was there when I popped in and it was dead quiet.
I was shown a variety of beers and ales and given samples of them. The chap (sorry, can't remember his name!) was friendly and chatty, showing how the products are made and the history. In short, it's a great place so pop in and support a small business, after all, we need to be doing more to encourage the growth of these kind of places to get away from the smothering of local producers by global corporations and supermarkets. If we don't, there will be nothing left for us!!!!!

Bought a case of 12 bottles from Unsworth's yard brewery couple of weeks ago on a visit to Cartmel. Lovely beer. Would recommend you call in and take a few bottles home with you to savour.

We visited on a trip away, and were pleasantly surprised by this lovely little brewery. A brilliant atmosphere with lots of people popping in and out, some buying bottles of beer to take away, others (like us) sitting down to enjoy a few glasses. We could have stayed all day. The beer was delicious!! Definitely worth another visit.

Set in a lovely courtyard near the cheese shop/bakery. We sat in the courtyard on a lovely sunny afternoon and really enjoyed the beer. We went back to buy some bottles to take home.

Another hidden gem in Unsworths Yard. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff who love beer and to talk about it. The ales are delicious and I hope to see them out of the area and will be recommending my local real ale shops stock their wares.
