Saw a leaflet for this in a Tea Room in Bowness and knew we had to have a go. We'd just seen Mall Cop and couldn't resist the idea of trying an off road version of the Segway. Booked by phone the evening before and found the place no trouble - it's practically on Lake Windermere.
It was just the two of us and Rob (the guide) was there waiting with the Segways when we arrived. There was a quick training session in the carpark and in no time at all the 'Segway Smile' made its appearance. Everyone should try it.
Once Rob was satisfied that we had understood the basics we followed him off on a tour of the Graythwaite estate on paths, drives and cross country. Very scenic and the segway lets you see way more than walking. Half way round without problems and Rob turned off the speed limiter for even more fun.
Summary a really good fun way to spend an hour or so (longer tours are available) and a really good price too - can't recommend it enough.
