The Facilities were of a high standard. People were friendly and did all they could to assist. The location allows you to visit both the coastal areas and the Lakes district.

“Beautiful cottage within rural view”
Reviewed August 2, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

The cottage is beautifully located in a typical rural area, with picturesque view from every window.
It is very carefully designed and kept to make the most of this view, and it is nice just to sit there and enjoy it, and feel blessed.
The owner are welcoming, friendly yet private, which was perfect for us. We were welcomed with freshly baked scones and tea.
The place is very clean and comfortable, and we all enjoyed staying there.
Thank you very much Lindsey and John!

“Perfect”
Reviewed April 17, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The location of Sturdy Barn is an ideal base for getting around the Lakes; we visited Bowness, Ambleside, Coniston, Grizedale and Ulverston.
The barn itself is lovely, there isn't anything that hasn't been thought of, and was more than comfortable for me and my 4 children (9,10,13 and 14)
Lindsay and John, are very hospitable; the scones were delicious and even helped me out when I got a flat tyre - thanks.
