“Great Accomodation”
Reviewed May 31, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We spent the May Whit holiday here. It is an excellent cottage with great space and everything you need for a very enjoyable holiday. The kitchen was very well equipped and the whole house has a bright airy feel.

The village was a short walk and the Cycle Cafe at the end of the road was very friendly.

The area around Ullswater is close by and has great walks, boat hire and cycling.
We strongly recommend the area and Mains Cottage is a superb base.

“Gorgeous cottage, wish we could have stayed longer”
Reviewed May 19, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Booked this cottage for a weekend with a large group of friends. Dinah was extremely helpful any time we got in touch with arrangements. There was even a vase of flowers and bowl of fruit at the cottage when we arrived! Excellent garden, with lots of outside furniture and a BBQ. Plenty of space in the house and outside even though there were 12 of us. Lovely area, within easy distance of Ullswater and surrounding areas. 5 minute walk away from Greystoke, and although we did not frequent the pub it looked very welcoming! Would definitely stay again (currently trying to think of an excuse) and would certainly recommend to friends and family.

“Fabulous cottage for a group getway with great access to the national park”
Reviewed April 26, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

I booked Mains Cottage for a getaway with friends and it was perfect. The rooms are beautifully presented, the communal areas are really spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. The lovely secluded garden features a patio with gas BBQ and seating for al fresco dining.

I was initially disappointed to not book a cottage in the park but Greystoke is just outside the boundary with easy access to fantastic walking and cycling.
The local pub is a five minute walk and is also great. We ate there twice (delicious food) and did the quiz on Thursday night.

Highly recommended!
