We were a party of 3 and arrived at the wild boar for afternoon tea. We had arrived early as we had booked a table but this is not always necessary. This did not phase the gentleman who served us and showed us to some very comfortable seats and asked if we wanted tea/coffee. We were then served our afternoon tea, which comprised of tuna sandwiches, ham and tomato sandwiches, lemon drizzle cake shortbread biscuits and the most delicious scones I have ever eaten. I asked for the recipe which wasn't a problem and I will be in touch shortly to find out the recipe as the particular chef that had made them unfortunately wasn't in. We also met the proprietor Micheal Taylor who chatted to us and gave us some of the history which was very interesting and he was a very unassuming man. Nothing was too much trouble and we could haave as much tea as we wanted!! It was a very pleasant afternoon and there was no pressure to leave, we arrived at 12.15 and didn;t leave until 3.15!!Thank you again and we will return.
