A good friend recommended this Pub/restaurant and we visited for lunch one Saturday in mid September, after a trip to the excellent nearby plant nursery.
The Boot Inn is tucked away in a tranquil spot down a pretty country lane.
The interior is warm, welcoming and unspoilt, we ate in the smaller room in the oldest part.
We ordered the fish sharing platter, this was beautifully presented, with a very balanced mix of seafood. The portions were generous and most importantly, it was delicious.
The house wine was fine and good value.
The service was friendly & efficient BUT as mentioned by the previous reviewer we also suffered from the dreaded "there you go" every time anything was delivered to the table!!
As a result we have deducted one star from what would have been a five star rating.
Would we visit again, definitely, there we go!!
