Great location for short walk, picnic or to feed the ducks. Has the added benefit of very clean toilets, information centre and Snack wagon.

“Very pleasant walking area”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Well defined path round the lake and an information building with toilets. Popular venue for dog walkers - the only charge is for car parking.

“Great Place for a walk”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

If you visit on a quiet day then this is a great place to take the dogs for a walk. If you visit on a weekend or a bank holiday it can spoil it slightly with a lot of visitors. Many of which walk their dogs without a lead and their dogs may not be well controlled so it can ruin your walk a bit... But you can't blaim Brereton for this it is the owners of the dogs at fault. We stay clear when we know it is going to be busy - but during the week and after school its lovely.

“Great place for walking the dog”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

This is a great place for walking the dog. There is a large wood to explore and a great lake to walk around. There are large grassed areas to throw balls and frisbee and places for the dogs to go for a swim. There are some fishermen but not many. There is a snack van at weekends for a coffee and ice cream. Be warned that it is muddy in places.

There is a car park but you have to buy a ticket. There are some parking places on the surrounding roads but be warned do not park on the double yellow lines as there are traffic wardens that patrol and they do give tickets to those cars that are parked on the lines even if they are the not on the road and are on the verge.
