This hotel is located in the heart of Prestbury village and has a homely and tradition feel. I have stopped over several times now for business trips and I can say that if you are looking somewhere very a quiet, with friendly staff and hearty food, this place has it.
The food served at dinner is lovely and fresh. I personally had the French onion soup and rib-eye steak. Both were great! My waiter that evening was Pepe who was very informative and pleasant. During my time at the hotel I was also served dinner and drinks at the bar by another member of staff, Maggie. Maggie was equally as lovely and despite being very busy looking after other guest, took time out of her busy evenings to chat to me whilst I was having my ‘dinner for one’.
The room above main reception is very quaint and very large. Prestbury itself is a cell phone ‘dead spot’ but fortunately the hotel has fairly decent 2G and 5G Wi-Fi. Staying in the newer (refurbished) rooms though can mean that Wi-Fi signal is very weak.
All in all, the hotel is pleasant, staff are nice and attentive and food is hearty.More
