This was the first time the five of us (4 x Adults & 1 x 12 Year old) but I do hope not the last we had been to Nunsmere Hall, as soon as we arrived we were greeted with a friendly receptionist who then after taking our details and sorting our rooms instructed another very helpful gentleman who walked with us to the car and took our luggage, this was well received as my father had hurt his back. He took us to our rooms. Wow!!! is the only expression you will have to go as I'm sure I can not do it justice, both rooms beautifully decorated, clean spacious. We had booked an afternoon tea which was a great selection of sandwiches, cakes & tea/coffee with jam & scones, after we sat in the Library while our 12 year old & father took one of the dogs from the hotel for a walk, which is an option our son enjoyed very much. At dinner we had book the 5 course taster meal ... you guessed it was splendid even our son enjoyed it. Throughout out the day nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Restful night sleep, down to a five star breakfast. Then a walk around the lovely grounds of the hotel with the lake and the swans idyllic. The only downside was we only stayed one night, would have no problem in recommending this hotel to anyone. Thank you Nunsmere staff our stay could not be improved in anyway.

Room Tip: I'm sure any room is a good room

We were recommended by friends to try Nunsmere Hall and went for lunch on Sunday. What a gorgeous setting. The staff could not have been more helpful , the wine list and menu were superb and the food lived up to the promise. We will definitely be back for more.

This was a special night, although we had a deal, we were upgraded to the bridal suite, had a super meal, lovely wine and friendly service. The heavy Snow just added to the romance, everything about it was fab. Thank you

Stayed for one night and it was a lovely experience.Large room ,good food and helpful staff; what more could you want.Well worth a visit if you're thinking of visiting the area. The gardens surrounding the hotel are very pleasant and I'm sure that in the spring and summer are full of colour. We will definitely visit again. Not a bad spot if you are staying for the racing at Chester.

The 6 day stay was perfect, The trip was business related but the country setting combined with welcoming staff made for the ideal balance between work and relaxation. Highly recommended for those who are looking for a change from the glitzy hotel scenes with hotel food. If you don't go to England often, consider staying here as a way to experience warm English hospitality in an historical English country house. Not quite "Downton Abbey " , but you feel like its down the lane.

My husband was in the area for a week of business. During that week, he turned 65 years old. The hotel made my husband's 65th birthday extra special by baking him a cake and providing birthday cards. Malcom, the chauffeur, was most helpful, competent and caring. A great experience at a special place.

My wife and I went to Nunsmere Hall for a relaxing weekend and that is exactly what we got. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful, allowing us to change our dates after we were snowed up in January. When we arrived we were met by a cheerful and efficient concierge, checked in smoothly and efficiently and shown to our room. We were delighted to learn we had been upgraded to a junior suite, which was magnificent. Luxury was the watchword for the entire weekend. Dinner that evening was superb, as it was again the following evening - superb service then and at breakfast, which was equally delicious. All I all, a weekend to treasure.
