Myself husband and daughter attended the hawk walk. It was brilliant. Not only did we get to handle a harris hawk , but also various owls and a buzzard. When Pam took us for a walk with georgie , we got to see her fly from tree to tree and she also caught a pheasant !
Pam was excellent and answered all our questions, however strange.
Excellent value for money.

We met Pam and her amazing birds of prey today at Bridgemere Garden World. It was an exciting 'Hawk Walk' and I couldn't believe how close we got to the amazing birds, which included a Harris Hawk, Barn Owl and Kestrel. We held each one on our arms and got some wonderful pics with them. We also watched as they flew around and at one point right past our heads whilst we felt the breeze from their wings...amazing! If you want a 'value for money' experience, then I highly recommend doing a 'Hawk Walk'.

I visited Stockley Farm Birds of Prey centre today and wasn't disappointed. Gary and Pam are very experienced Falconers and have a wide range of birds ranging from Owls and Harris Hawks to Peregrine falcons and explain their behaviours and hunting habits very clearly for everyone to understand. The prices are truly excellent value for money and you get to see and handle the various birds up close. The centre itself is based in a beautiful countryside setting with good facilities and offers something for all the family - you even get a free tractor ride thrown in! I'd also recommend this for business team days out e.g. learning about how the intelligent Harris Hawks work together for shared success would make a perfect fit for building team dynamics and nicely complement a standard training programme. Overall, being able to handle such magnificent animals is a fantastic and humbling experience, I came away feeling educated and totally enthralled. I will definitely return and thoroughly recommend it to everyone.

Yesterday 17th September was a gorgeous day weather wise here in the Manchester/Cheshire area so what better than a trip out with the grandaughter, where to take a lively 2 year old then? why not try Stockley farm which is only 20 minutes away in the car, so yes let us get ready and be off, in no time we were on our way. Arrived around 11.30am at the car park for Stockley Farm. We even got a concessionary ticket( Being old is not so bad eh!) We climbed into a covered trailer which was attached to a tractor for the short ride to the farm, the seats in the carriage are bundles of straw(so wear sensible clothing). On arriving at the farm and exiting the tractor transport you are free to wander around at your leisure, everything is clearly signposted so you can find your way round easily, and their is plenty to see, Horses, sheep, Birds of prey, owls. Their is a playground area in a field with various thing's for the children to play on, swings and slides. Every so often an announcement over the intercom system announces yet another activity about to start and the announcer informs you where it will take place, various activities like horse grooming takes place and the children can take an active part in the grooming. You cannot help but be impressed by the large selection of activities that take place and you have the usual thing's like a restaurant, gift shop, ice cream's available for all. The entire staff are very helpful and well you get the feeling that they all get on well together, it is a very good day out and very educational both for adults and children alike. Stop sitting around and get yourself over to Stockley farm park, and if you feel adventurous then pack a picnic and have a great day out. We used the restaurant/cafe and the sausages were simply brilliant!
