Wall Hill Farm Guest House

I am currently on my 4th visit to this gem of a B&B and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else when I am working in the area. Each room is beautifully designed and decorated to the standard of a boutique hotel and the bathrooms are really top notch. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and is delicious. Richard and Pam, who live in the farmhouse opposite, make you welcome from the moment you arrive and nothing is too much trouble.

Room Tip: Each room is completely different, each with its own charm, but of equally high quality.

Stayed 2 nights in the Country Living room which was much bigger than the website photos showed. Really comfy bed and lovely views over the hills and countryside. Bathroom had a separate large shower and it was nice to have bathrobes provided.

Breakfast was cooked to order with freshly laid eggs courtesy of the many chickens the owners had. Owner had also baked their own bread - Yummy!

It was a bonus you could use the dining area for a takeaway if you didn't fancy eating out in the evening and although we didn't do this ourselves, we did take the opportunity of having a glass of wine or two in the nice cosy lounge which guests could use on our last night.

Pam and Richard were really friendly and we really couldn't fault our stay. Would definitely like to stay again if in this area.

Nearest pub was about 15 minute walk (The Maypole and Hazel Pear). We ate at Marco Marco italian on the first night which was on the main road just before the turning to Wall Hill Farm and had a nice meal there (mussels and clams in lovely tomato based sauce highly recommended). 2nd night was very disappointing at the Hazel Pear (see separate review)...

Nantwich is about 20 miles away, a quaint little town which was lovely to amble round apart from the awful weather we had most of the weekend!

This was by far the best guest house we have stayed in. As other reviews the rooms were 5 star, warm underfloor heating superb decor, immaculately clean, bed was comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked on order and excellent. We would highly recommend this guest house.

This is a lovely small guesthouse with indiviually decorated rooms. I stayed in the "Contemporary Room" (number 4). There was an extremely comfortable double/king bed, wardrobe, dressing tabel, tea/coffee making facilities, wall mounted tv and fabulous underfloor heating. The adjoining bathroom was spacious and had a very powerful shower. Fantastic. Everything was very clean and modern and whilst the room wasn't huge, I was sleeping it, not living in it, so it served me very well. Breakfast was available from 7.30am (or earleir if required) and was delicious. There was a selection of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit salad and cooked (to order) breakfast. They don't provide any other meals, but there was a thoughfully prepared Information book available in the communal Lounge and in each bedrrom which had a map of local pubs and restaurants (suprisingly a lot in a walkable distance). The book even had the menu's of some of the pubs/restaurants inside. We walked to the Maypole which took 5mins, and then walked down to the Hazel Pear, another 5mins, where we ate both nights and the food was lovely. All in all a great stay. I will definitely stay at the Wall Hill Farm Guest House again.

Room Tip: Check their website for photographs and other information.

My husband and I stayed here on Friday 7th December for 1 night and are so glad we did. From the first point of contact with Richard over the phone until we left the next morning was fantastic. On our phone call I asked Richard about eating out in the village and he recommended a few local pubs. Richard then sent an email with local taxi numbers for us so we planned our eveing perfectly. We arrived and collect our room key which had been left in the entrance for us and made our way to our room. We stayed in the contemorary room when I went into the room I could not believe how stunning it was, the decor, the fittings, the bedding everything was out of this world, I even got excited about the underfloor heating. Everything was immaculate. Have to say it was the best place we have ever stayed. Next morning we got up and went for breakfast the dining room was again spotless and Richard was the perfect host. We had the fruit followed by a full english which also fantastic Chatted to Richard and told him what a perfect place they had. Even the information booklet in the room was so informative and the best I have ever read. We had orgainsed a late check out which was great had another little chat to Richard then we travelled on to another hotel for the works christmas party Oh how I wished we could have stayed at Wall HIll for another night instead of the usual large boring room chain hotels.. I have already said it but this place is FANTASTIC we have now found our perfect place and plan to return very soon. Thanks Richard xxxxxx

Stunning rooms. We stayed in the oriental room which with under floor heating and up market furnishings was of a higher standard than many hotels we have stayed in . Very good value for money and well worth a stay.
