We have been going to the Plough Inn for sometime now and have always been very satisfied with the food served, our last visit was on Friday 3rd May and to be honest we were disappointed with the portions we were given, 3 small new potatoes was all that was served with my lamb, my wifes potatoes were hard and she could not eat them.We ordered desserts and my wife was brought the wrong one which was changed but i had already eaten mine by the time the correct one had arrived.
The restaurant was very busy that night so probably the kitchen was over stretched.
What does intrigue me is the last review posted by Dazzoh11,we sat in front of this loud person and first of all he complained about his starter, secondly he complained about his steak which he sent back, so the review he posted does not add up !!!

Have eaten at The Plough on many occasions and never been let down.
We took some friends from out of town last night (Friday 3rd May) and they thoroughly enjoyed the steak plate pie. Generous portions, good food and a great selection of ales to go with it.
The Plough was very busy, being a bank holiday weekend, but the food was consistent.
All of the staff were friendly yet efficient and helped give a great atmpsphere to the place.
The manager also told me that most items on the menu can be made gluten free if required, a massive bonus to anyone with gluten intollerance.
Definitely recommend The Plough and we will continue to take visiting family and friends as we know we'll get a fantastic meal.

Have lived in this area for a number of years and didn`t know this existed, some friends mentioned it so we thought we would give it a try. This is probably one of the best meals we have had for a long time.I wonder why we didn`t find it years ago.We can only recommend a visit you will not be disappointed.

Outstanding!

Not local to the area, visited with family for evening meal. Food, service was 10/10. Although we live 50 mile away, we'll definitely be returning!

We took some friends here for a mid week lunch outing. The choice on the menu was really good. The food was lovely with lots of fresh vegetables. We all only had a main course and a drink - no room for a pudding even though the choice looked good. The service was excellent even though it was very busy. We will all go again.
