I have visited many Warners Hotels but found this one to be the best so far. Friendly staff, good accommodation. Very good choice and quality of food, entertainment excellent a real team feel. Lovely pool, ideally placed for visits to Chester and Liverpool. All in all a good experience.

Room Tip: Rooms in the house have no lift to them so if you have difficulty with stairs dont choose these.

Dirty accomodation, soon remedied when pointed out, good resident entertainers, dining average, they could do with more staff in the restaurant. The pool was out of action for at least a couple of days.Best bit the golf course , thougt that could do with better signage on the course.

We had the pleasure of joining some friends for a day that were staying at Alvaston Hall Hotel Nantwich, and i must say we were very impressed we were made very welcome by the staff, also our lunch was good and expecially our three course evening meal which was excellent. We visited our friends bedroom and i must say it was very impressive. We have never done a Warners holiday but will most certainly think about it some time in the future.

A snap decision to go to Alvaston hall again (2 days midweek),September 5th/7th.

As a last minute decision to get away for a couple of days we only had the choice of a limited number of rooms either a super room or a chalet type in court yard, we opted for the court yard, A much smaller room than on our last visit, but none the less a good room clean, comfortable and cosy. A short walk from the main hall. As before the food was great, service excellent from all the staff., the weather on this visit was lovely sunny and warm and we were able to see much more of the facilities they had to offer, We visited Chester on one of the days, and went to see the Anderton boat lift on our way home, well worth a visit. Alvaston Hall is only 25minutes away from where we live so its a very convenient place to stay at a minutes notice.

We have just returned from a 3-day Warners break at this hotel. We booked a Royal room - which was quite nice, roomy with a lovely view. The entrance is quite grand but the place is in need of TLC and the leisure area really needs a good spruce up though it's a good sized pool (20m). People were very friendly, food okay, entertainment dated, old fashioned fun - this was very different from what we normally get up to and maybe a taste of what we can expect when we get much older...meantime we'll not be returning!

Room Tip: royal at least - new build ones probably best

Stayed at Alvaston Hall 31/08 2012. Arrived to a warm welcome from the Concierge club receptionist. We stayed in Royale room in the main house overlooking the gardens and golf course, the room was presented well with quality furnishings, a super kingsize bed, sofa and 2 occasional chairs and table. The room was serviced well each day and the tea and coffee replenished daily.
We dined in the Grove Cabaret diner and treated ourselves to the VIP Dining experience which was well worth the extra cost. The food was of a very good standard, hot and very tasty. There was a good choice of breakfast as well.
The entertainment was of a very high standard well led by entertainment manager Ian Dale. Friday night a comedian Joey Howard entertained for almost two hours non stop. he was very funny and never once used any swear words, very different to todays so called comedians.Saturday night was the Sounds of the Temptations who were also entertaining.Sunday night saw the in house entertainments team who perforomed a show called Magic of the Musicals, a first class performance by all taking part.Sadly one of the team Joanna Randalls was perfoming for the last time at Alvaston Hall Good luck to you Jo. Also some of the guests were celebrating birthdays etc, one in particular was a chap by the name Gary celebrating his 50th birhday, Gary the riverdance at 1 30 am sunday morning was fantastic (watch out Michael Flatley).
We had a really good time at Alvaston Hall. Thank you to the entire team.

In July 2012 My husband and I went to Alvaston Hall for a weekend break and to see the rat pack however when going to our room we were in for a surprise and not a good one either. The room allocated to us was a courtyard room and when booking I had the impression this was all that was available. When we saw the room it was very small but we thought ok it would do but not what we were expecting, then we looked at the bathroom and could not believe it!!!! there was mould round the bath and they had obviously had a problem with ants as there were some kind of ant blocks on the floor. This did it for us and we went and complained. I have to admit the staff were excellent and moved us to another room - the Tunstall Suite at no extra charge. This was a lovely room/suite so it turned out ok in th end. The food was very good, which was a great improvement on Thoresby Hall where we stayed at New Year, but that is another story!!!!!
All the staff at Alvaston Hall were very good and friendly. The entertainments team put on very good shows although we did not see much of them other than that. The Rat Pack were dreadful and I do not know why they were booked and if we had gone to see them at the theatre we would have walked out - we were not the only people that thought they were bad. We have now had bad experiences at 2 of the Warners Hotels and this has put us off trying any of the others.

Room Tip: Do not book a Courtyar Room. The rating above is for the Tunstall Suite
