Dropped in for a quick lunch on Wednesday, expecting to find an empty pub, but got quite the opposite... The place was pretty much full of (mainly older) folks tucking into some very good looking food. Managed to bag the last available table for two and ordered lunch (Plaice and chips for madam, sausage filled Yorkshire Pud and chips for me).
Food quality was great and there was plenty of it (these silver haired folk aren't daft you know)! Service was friendly and fast and there was a nice atmosphere about the place. This is a traditional town pub that really has found it's niche and knows what it's customers want... Good food at (very) reasonable prices... Will definitely drop in again soon :-)
