The quality and choice of food offered is the secret of this pub's success. It has a value range for older clients who only want smaller portions but the choice offered is very good. It is always well cooked and good value.

Traditional decored dining area with traditional clientele with a reasonable varied menu.
I expect the Farmers Arms holds a good customer base so its a formula they have success with and don't need to try too hard to attract new visitors.
Sunday lunch was ok, but we left feeling that we could have had a far better meal elsewhere, so we won't be rushing back.

We were considering calling in for Sunday lunch from the canal. Checked the pub out on TA and there were only reviews from 2011 so were wondering if still open. Sent an email to the address on their web site but no reply, so aborted for a planned Sunday lunch. So instead included the pub in a circular walk from the canal and called in for drinks only. Moored between bridge 12 and 13 on the Llangollen canal. Place looks very busy, full with diners for Sunday lunch. We were the only people not eating so very much an eating pub. This looks like a good place to eat so we will have to call back when we are next passing by. Beer was good, choice of two local hand pulled bitters. D&S 30-9

Went here on 22nd 3 course meals and drinks for less than £50 my starter was fantastic almost a main course, the main course steak was cooked as required and the chips with it were really traditional. The desert was a step to far I tried to finish it but failed . Superb food and service left a hood tip.
