Executive room was beautiful. Very clean and spacious. Spa treatments available and I would definatly recommend Bar drinks were very expensive as was the food. Breakfast wasn't the best but all in all a good place to stay :-)

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. It was good to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and would return. It is a shame you found the food and beverage prices, however please be assured are well beneath many of our competitors. and I do feel reasonably priced for a 4 star hotel .

Thank you again for your review and I do hope you will be visiting us again in the not too distant future.

Kind Regards

Linda

Big, old, tired. maybe I just got a rubbish room, but the view over the back of the building was less than wonderful. But it was better than the side of the delivery van parked right up against the window next morning. I wasn't expecting herds of wilderbeest migrating across the serengetti, but you get the idea.
The bed was very basic and had BLANKETS! But in fairness, they matched the 70's decor perfectly. The newer beige curtains did not go with the lime green walls and fake ostrich skin headboards.
Breakfast was also dire. the sausages were so old they had lost any shape and were just mush. But that matched the tomatoes, so maybe that was the idea? I like strong coffee, but the bucket of poison the brought me was lethal.
All in all, never again!

Dear guest,

It was a shame to hear you did not like the hotel. I do feel your comments are compelty out of context and do in no way represnt a clear view of the faclilies and product the hotel offers. The hotel had a 5 million pound refurbishment only 4 years ago and all romms are designed in modern boutique styel decor . Breakfast offering is excellant and we have many posative comments from guests. I do hope future guests will take note of productive accurate reviews listed by other preious guests .

Purchased a deal off living social website. Room clean, very fast check in, lovely staff. In need of double glazing in rooms, cold draft so kept curtains closed. Leisure facilities were the standard of a public swimming baths! Looking very tired but nice size pool for a hotel. Members very friendly. Evening meal -upgraded to an al a carte menu not a brilliant selection but always something to eat. Bar area is nice and staff lovely. Bar menu good and nice tapas. Bar man in the evening was very chatty and had a good sense of humour. Breakfast was ok. Good choice but some of the items were cold. Would stay again.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on your recent stay. It was good that you enjoyed your time with us. It was nice that you enjoyed the 20m pool we have, do however feel the standard of the club is far superior to a public swimming baths. Not been to one that has a Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and relaxation chairs and loungers yet !
It was nice that you take the time to compliment the staff and your comments will be shared.

Thanks again, and it was great to read you will be coming back to visit us in the future

Kind regards

Nice clean room, stayed for an event which was really well run. The food on the evening and breakfast the next day was excellent.
The hotel looks a bit dated on the outside, but rest assured it is really nicely decorated inside - the bar is great and really comfy.
Will definetly stay again.

I wouldn't rate this as 4 star hotel, and would NOT reccomend for a relaxed spa break. The hotel itself is quite nice, the food was lovely ,we stayed for an evening meal which i would rate the 4 stars for.
The rooms are ok some things a little dated and the cups and glasses in the room were dirty.
The gym and pool area were not upto the 4 star rated standard, very out of date equiptment some of which were not working, the changing rooms were awful, you had to walk through the gym to get to the changing rooms, there were no slippers and robes, the jacuzzi wasn't working and was supposed to have had work done on it a few weeks previous.
A deffinate no no for a relaxed spa break there's alot more choice out there if you look around.

Dear Guest ,

Thank you for your comments, It was good to hear you enjoyed your dinner in the hotel and the hotel facilities.

I do feel some of your further comments are a little misleading. The hotel is in the higher scoring bracket of 4 star standards and has only recently been inspected with a further improved 4 star rating,.
I do think the comments regarding the health club are unfair. The Jacuzzi is rarely out of use and in the last 6 months this has been out of use for one day as records are maintained for any issues with this. Occasionally equipment will have issues in the gym area and are immediately fixed and usually turned round within 24 hours - again from our records we have had 1 tread mill out of use only in last 6 months. . The gym equipment is under 4 years old which would not be considered out of date. We do not offer or advertise a robes and slippers facility to guest due to location of health club being in a separate building to the hotel,
Poolside has an assortment of chairs and loungers, and I do feel is far different from any public facility I have personally experienced!.

Kind regards,

Linda

my wife and i stayed at the hotel and as a treat a booked her into the spa. wen we got to the room the size was an issue with a dodgy bed and net curtains and a bath which was like a footbath. only a dwarf could fit into it. the breakfast left a lot to be desired with stale bread cold food. the spa itself was a bit small but good quality service and my wife was completely chilled. would recommend spa but not hotel

A group of us stayed after purchasing the spa experience on Groupon. We had an eventful experience!!

The spa is something I considered to be less than 3 star, there were no robes or slippers available. The changing rooms were of a similar standard to those found at a council run leisure centre. There were just a few loungers next to the pool.

The hotel is lovely though and the food was of a high standard. However, the electricity went on and off throughout the night causing the tv to turn on and off, a problem which I was informed last week is still continuing.

We will definitely not be using this hotel again!
