“New Year 2013”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

We stayed in two of the feature rooms with two small children-very nice rooms but rather warm.
We went to the family New Year party, the food and entertainment was excellent and the firework display outstanding. All the staff were very attentive and very pleasant we would not hesitate in booking again

Dear Patricia K,
Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you and your family enjoyed the New Years Eve celebrations at Crewe Hall. The fireworks were outstanding and were very much enjoyed by the local community who could see them from miles around.
I hope we have opportunity to welcome you back in 2014.
Kind regards

We stayed twice - once in August and once in November - on both occasions staying in one of the Feature Rooms in the Old Hall.
We really enjoyed our November stay, which coincided with the opportunity to have dinner in the Ranulph Dining Room in the Old Hall. This is only opened once a month, but well worth going for. The normal place for Dinner and Breakfast, the Brasserie in the new building, is nothing special.
If we were doing the review for the November stay alone, then it would be much more 4/5 star, and highly recommended.
Our review for August alone would have been fairly grim - the sun was very hot, the curtains left open all afternoon with the window shut and it was astonishingly hot in the room when we arrived. It didn't get much better since the bedroom window had a tiny restricted opening and there is no air conditioning. It was stifling hot all through the night. Being a Saturday night in August, the hotel was full and the room was pricey, so we were pretty disappointed with the whole thing. Credit to the management though, they accepted all the things we were unhappy about, and gave us a very hefty discount for our return visit.

Crewe Hall is a beautiful place to visit. We had our Christmas works night out here. Food was excellent, especially the beef which just melted in your mouth. Great magician who came to your table and a disco which played decent music. However, a little too expensive but overall a great time had by all!

It is difficult to find anything that was not first class. The building and its architecture are stunning and our (upgrade) room was large, well appointed and with a comfortable bed. The staff were all very efficient, friendly and helpful, especially the Reception staff. The Brasserie bar is very congenial with a good selection of cocktails. Our dinner was very, very good and enjoyed by all our party. Breakfast was an extensive buffet. Thoroughly recommended.

Stayed overnight for a family wedding and was delighted with the hotel. The building is stunning and the Christmas decorations turned it into a fairy-tale venue for the wedding. Our room in the new part was large and tastefully decorated, with a huge comfy bed, and fabulous bathroom with separate shower & bath. Breakfast was great with loads of choice and the wedding supper was delicious too. Would loved to have had the time to sample the spa but I hope we will get chance to stay again and include some treatments, Overall, I couldn't fault the place, well done!

We spent one night at Crewe Hall in December 2013. It was a last minute booking and we were delighted with the hotel. The Q star modern room was great. The food and staff were lovely. We also enjoyed the pool and spa facilities. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We have just held our Wedding at Crewe Hall on Boxing Day and it was everything we dreamt it would be. From arriving and getting ready in the Tower Suite, to being married in the Craved Parlour, Marek and his team looked after us impeccably, from the second we arrived to the time he helped us to carry our gifts at the end of the evening, nothing was too much trouble.
I would highly recommend this venue to anybody considering a wedding/event, Lucy the wedding co ordinate knows her job inside out and looked after us from the day we booked our wedding, giving us useful hints, tips and advice. Brain the chef personally met us at the food tasting and listened to our needs. All the staff from reception to management were brilliant and the Christmas decorations were sensational.

Room Tip: The Tower Suite is fabulous. Guests staying in the new part had a bit of a walk.
