Just the one night here for me due to a working trip, and I walked from the railway station which was fine given the good weather - perhaps a 10-15 min flat walk along the footpath running alongside the dual carriageway. Perhaps a taxi needed if it's raining hard, though?

On arrival, I was warmly greeted and indeed found all the staff very friendly and efficient throughout my stay. The location is a little remote if on foot and apparently not a great deal else to do in the area, but not a problem for me personally with staying just one night.

The room was very pleasant - clean and fresh - and 'open plan' including the bathroom (although the fixed shampoo bottles make it very difficult to just wash your hair without taking a full shower).
Two pillows in total for the double bed, although you can order extras via contacting Reception, but I found just the one to be fine.

Free Internet (as advertised) was available in my 1st floor room, but only if you are able to connect via a network cable (i.e. no wi-fi, so unavailable to me with just my iPod Touch). However, no problem connecting free of charge via wi-fi in the bar area.
The bar area was well run and the lounge relaxing with LCD TVs, and, after a few drinks, I had no problem obtaining a table in the restaurant and found the food to be good quality and quickly served, although I do tend to eat late, when things are somewhat quieter.

Due to work commitments, I had to take breakfast as soon as the restaurant opened the following morning (7am) and again, no problems. All self service, which allows you to serve yourself as quick as you need. It would have been nice to have had scrambled egg, and perhaps hash browns, but that's really a minor personal preference.

A quick checkout too, so all in all, a very nice stay - thanks!

We stayed here for 4 nights when my brother was needed at the crewe university campus. It's not far from the train station, as in a walkable distance. Would I walk it with luggage or in bad weather? No, but we walked to the station every day for our excursions to other cities. I'm bad with distance, but it's about a 10 min walk.

The hotel gave me the impression of being a bit overpriced, and their bar/restaurant seemed a bit expensive. However, if you head towards the station and turn left at the big circle, you'll hit a pub about 300m up the road with great food at a good price.

The rooms were comfortable, a bit on the small side as we were 3 in a room(double bed and the sleeper couch). It is clean, with a tv and we had a shower only.

The breakfast was a standard hotel buffet. We ordered a pizza one night, and it took about 45 mins to get made, but was pretty yum.

If you're staying ere for the business park or the uni, it is pretty convenient. We decided to amuse ourselves during the day with some excursions. We took the train to Liverpool for a day, to chester (well worth the visit) and even to Cardiff. So if you are bored, there are some options!

Don't expect much night life though, crewe is a tiny town, and being out of the center, there wasn't anything to do after dinner.

Encore Hotel is on a business park 10 walk from Crewe railway Station. Its a hundred times better than the Crewe Arms (see previosu reviews) with a very modern finish. Good size room with a good size long bed. Bathroom is a wet room which was a new expereince in this country!
evening meal choice was average but what I had (Stir Fry Duck) was nice.
Stayed here on business so not sure of the price but on a Sunday night in October thought would be good value.

Room Tip: Room 218 excellent.

I stayed here for 2 nights and used it for a base to visit alton towers. Hotel was in a great location near motorways and alton towers even tho was an hour away was easy to get too. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and if a good size. The bed was comfy and i asked a member if staff for more pillows and these were in the room on our return. The shower was great and i liked the way the bathroom was done which was very simple and clean. Overall i would recommend this hotel as good value for money.
