We visited this pub while staying in Alderley Edge, The staff were very friendly and professional, and the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. A good experience.

“Lazing on a Sunny afternoon”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

Chose to meet some friends here for Sunday lunch as it was half way from each others homes.

The staff were very friendly and courteous and we enjoyed sitting in the decked area although it was a little cool initially enjoying a pre lunch drink.

The choices of courses were good and varied, we passed on the starters and went for 2 crab and 1 chilli beef salads and a king prawn and crab pasta on the special board accompanied by 2 bowls of chunky chips.

The salads were lovely although a little pricey.

Chunky chips stole the show.

It got rather warm outside and our request to be seated indoors was met with a great deal of consideration and kindness by the staff.

Desserts went down very well.

Enjoyed the occasion, enjoyed the experience.

Nice one.

“Amazing beer garden!”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

We had a lovely evening here. It was a quiet rainy Tuesday night but the staff were lovely as was the food. They were kind enough to give me a doggy bag too as my eyes had been to big for my stomach! We didn't get to use the beer garden as the weather was awful but we will be back to do so

“We keep going back.”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

I/we try & get to The Stag at once a month, more if time allows it. We have abundance of good eating places in the area but this is head & shoulders above them all.
From excellent staff, brilliant & clean facilities, and a menu which makes you hungry reading it, we go knowing we won't be disappointed.(if you have a special diet they'll bend over backwards to accomadate you!)
Children have a field with swings to play on, nothing tacky & a couple of football goals for impromptu dads & lads games.
I could write more but just go, try a summers early evening to begin with & you'll be hooked. Keep it up.

“Nice place, nice atmosphere”
Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

We came on a nice sunny day, the beer garden is lovely and relaxing, the food was really good and potion sizes are quite large! There was a minor blip with the food order but was quickly rectified with no fuss. We will definitely go back again.
