The elderly gentleman who runs the tearooms is very friendly and is a local councillor and so has a wealth of local knowledge. The cakes and refreshments are lovely. The gardens provide a wonderful and tranquil setting to enjoy an afternoon tea, also stocks model railway items and has a fantastic model railway inside which the children really enjoyed watching. The cats in the gardens are so friendly and such pretty little things, again the children enjoyed making their acquaintance. Not an overly large gardens and you couldn't make a day of it but then there is no entrance fee so well worth a visit.
