This is truly extraordinary - a mythically comfortable cinema carved out of a building previously run by the WI, showing first-run movies at sensible prices, with the palatially elegant seatery of large leather armchairs or opulently squishy sofas complete with cushions and waitress service.
No, such a place cannot exist, you say, and it certainly cannot exist in Wisbech. Ah, but it does, and the waitress (admittedly only available in premier seating) service can be summoned by dedicated mobile phone texting from your seat.
It's an opulence that could only be provided by an independent and this is an independent which has enjoyed more than three years of offering top entertainment in an otherwise funless town. No. That's wrong. The excellent Angles Theatre is just up the road and indeed you could use the same FREE car park to visit either. Perhaps there's a mutuality to be discovered there - some cross promotion perhaps. Working together to bring folk into the town.
Please, if you haven't discovered the Luxe, it really is a unique place to see a movie. We saw Les Miserables and the place was packed. Book online; it's easier. Be prepared for the magic of the movies combined with practical efficiency, terrifically helpful staff and a great latte.
