We had several take aways from here and they were great. We ordered on line and they did free delivery. However last time we ordered it was a disaster....they brought the curries but forgot the rice. We rang, they apologised and then brought one pot of rice and a bag of salad. We therefore were still short of rice, had lots of salad we did not order and the curry was cold. As i say normally they have been great, but now we have been put off using them so will go elsewhere.

Nice food, with good balance of options available. All food freshly cooked to order. Restaurant is a bit open plan, so if you were planning an intimate meal in a canteen, it would be your perfect location.

Don't expect a run of the mill Indian meal at this quaintly old fashioned restaurant. It has its roots firmly planted in the tradition of quality Indian food, served pleasantly and briskly and in cosy surroundings. There is a great selection of "specials" that actually taste different from each other which would suggest a chef, or chefs, with a better than normal understanding of correct spicing.

The atmosphere is intimate and sedate, a surprise given that it is attached to a pub. It even has a separate entrance which adds to the quirkiness.

Noticeable is that Saturday evenings are rarely full leading me to think this authentic experience might not be around too long. Hopefully I'm wrong and that the positive reviews will keep the visitors coming.

A small niggle is having a separate bill for drinks. These are sold by the attached pub. We had to use cash for this part although we didn't ask whether we could pay by card to the landlord at the bar. Other wise this would have been a five star experience given the very reasonable prices.

Great Indian food with some really original specialitiese The fish dishes I especially like. A good fish curry seems quite rare in an Indian restuarant in Britain. Service is always excellent and always with a smile, I suspect because they are in a village with very little passing traffic they have to go the extra mile, and they do! Its a little odd having to pay for drinks separately but it means you can get decent real ale or a good value bottle of wine with some excellent Indian food. Seems to be in the shadow of the other pub/restauant at the other end of the village but offers far better vaue for money, is less pretentious and has better service.

Thoroughly recomended!
